As many of you know I am extremely busy lately and have not had the time to pursue the second .600 OK brass buy from Dieter Horneber. I've been talking to Ed at AHR and he seems willing to take over handling the details of the BUY. Hopefully I will get this finalized this week. With Ed handling the second brass purchase all you will have to do is call AHR and pay for the brass with a credit card/check etc. Ed will need a minimum order of at least 1000 cases to get a gleam out of the eye of Dieter. Last I spoke to Dieter he was more than willing to make more cases. I know many of us could use more(as I could) and for the newbies outthere, you can also discuss a turnkey rifle from AHR in .600OK without having to worry where your brass is coming from. -Rob

I just finalized the project with ED and he will take on the job of sourcing the .600 OK brass from Horneber. Ed has lots of experience in doing this as he routinely imports brass from OZ from Bertram. I will set him up with Dieter and all you guys will have to do is call ED at AMERICAN HUNTING RIFLES and plunk down a credit card number. ED will do the rest. This is a major PIA and Ed will charge about .30/case to handle things( including import licenses etc.- I footed that charge myself last time) and make the shippments back to you. Dieter wants about $3.00 US/case with lower prices for anything over 1000 cases. I am personally going to order 200 more cases. We need to get to 1000 cases before Dieter will do another run. AHR can also supply turnkey rifles in .600 OK and has made three or four I know of. All have been superb and if you want the biggest and baddest Bolt action DGR out there Ed probably is the place to go IMHO. I am not receiving anything out of this other than the pleasure of seeing a neat idea come to fruition. IMHO the .600OK in the end lived up to all of its design criteria and is one truly awesome cartridge. Most humans can easily handle it its recoil at 900 grs at 2100fps but at full tilt boogy it's a handful. I have done some work with my GNA gun reamed out to .600 OK-2 or the 3.2 inch case length and it's honestly too much gun even for me. Works fine, but at 2400fps plus it's fearsome and I'm worried I'm getting a flinch going with it.-Rob

John, If I wasn't currently broke I would buy all your 600 OK items, just to upset Robgunbuilder. ASS_CLOWN

Rob, I have some 600OK cases from the original run that I will sell to you (or anyone else) that needs them. IIRC I have 100+ cases that I need to sell. I am starting a 550 mag project and no longer need the 600OK cases (and bbl and dies). Please email me if you want some. Thanks again for your leadership in the 600OK development. My needs changed and I think the 550 Mag better suits me at this time. John

Thanks for handling the 600 OK brass situation Rob. I had mentioned this to Ed last spring in "Jest" but he declined. So it appears that several rifles built plus favorable comments on the 600 OK cal has peaked his interest. Now, when He finishes mine, I'll have brass. Dak
