Ken Cline500 NE 3" loads
I was wondering if there are any loads with lighter jacketed bullets that will regulate with the standard 570 grain bullet at 2150. I know some do in the 470, but haven't seen any yet for the 500. Hawk, Barnes, and Woodleigh all make various bullets in this caliber lighter than 570 grains.

500grainsI have only tried 500 grain lead. But if I were using a lighter weight jacketed bullet, I would try to get it to regulate with XMP5744 powder, starting with about 35 grains, and working up to about 70 grains until the barrels converge. I did the same with a .470 NE using 300 grain pistol bullets and found that 65.0 grains XMP5744 got the barrels to converge at 100 yards.
