Maybe a new recruit for the band of bubbas
I met up with a friend at the range during lunch. He called me on the way to the range and asked what I thought about a 270 WSM in a Browning BAR he was looking over. I said, what'll it do that your 7mag, 300 mag, 338 mag, 375 H&H or 45-70 won't do, you should think bigger. He hemmed and hawed and hung up.

So I happen to bring the 458 lott to the range and let him shoot a plinker load, 500 gr cast over 80 gr Varget ~2100 fps, and he was impressed. Said yeah, I see what you mean about going bigger vs smaller, I like the Lott. thumb

He worked in Houston for a few years, though I don't know if that counts as Texas Wink

I'm not familiar with the initiation rights, I just heard 458 Lott and up. If it involves drinking cheap beer, I want no part of it, not sure if his standards are as high beer
