Has anyone actually laid eyes on one in .500 Jeffery? Do they actually exist? I can find the .375, .416, and .450 but the .500 seems to be a ghost. For the price it seems like a good way to dabble in the .50 arena....

Don't think it's made but my friend gunsmith Mike Cuypers of Bijou Creek csn make it happen ! He made me many including a 500 Jeffery in a Win 70 Classic SS that was made for a Brown Bear Hunt in 07...and yes I nailed a 9footer thumbdown with it...

Starting to wonder if its one of those that gets listed but never actually makes it to production. It's on some websites, but all list it as back order only.

I called Europtics to ask about one. Man said they ordered one (1) did not expect them to be a big seller. With the complaints about the extractor on the others I never followed up on it. Hoping somebody actually got one to report on.

I reckon the number of shooters who will spend big money to have a 500 Jeffery would not be doing it in a Sako....real Mauser territory.

Similar with Wby Mark V in 338/06. A shooter who would spend 2 or 3 times the price of a R700 or M70 to have a 338/06 is not a Mark V buyer.

The 500 Jeffery Brown Bear was listed for less than $3000.

2500 actually. Cheaper than the Cz. Which seems to need additional work usually. I'm curious.
