Anyone make a take-down falling block rifle

in .458 up through 600 NE and even through

4 bore with total rifle weight into the mid

20 pounds range?

If not, what about a F/B NON take-down as

described above?

Thanks but that's 4 or 5 times my price range.

I see a guy on big bores who makes a 2 bore

at about $8500. So I half hoped for a 4 bore at

a bit less, but maybe that's dreaming. I some-

times wonder about a muzzle loader 4 bore that

would look like a giant Ruger No. 1. I think

that would satisfy me just as well, maayyybe...

But maybe not... bewildered I'm also a 600 NE

"nut" and I think a 14 or 15 pound falling block

rifle in THAT caliber would be a TREASURE! Then

there's the super caliber that Ed H came up with,

the true .500 caliber bullet fired from expanded

475 #2 brass! [Same bullet as 500 S&W revolvers,

of which I own one!] Any way, on it goes, the

rifle addiction thing, not so tough on a guy as

heroine...I guess.....

Ballard

Takedown cost $650 more?!?

I wonder what the largest caliber is?

A Farquharson action is forthcoming, also.

I looked thru and Ballard claims their High Wall is good thru a 600 NE.

B5J,

soooooo, why not get a four bore built on the two bore frame? I still got my pair of four bore empty cases sitting here on my desk. It might just be under two years and nine-grand for one.

If you are serious, you might want to check on the Hagn rifles and actions.
