Juan Pozzi,



I have been fascinated by this great man for a long time and wish someone who knew him well wrote a biography. I have a few of his old articles and when the 458 Lott was revived, there were a number of articles on him that have me intrigued about his life. Apparently he worked for the CIA and was a decorated fighter in the civil war in the Congo, was a noted hunting writer and expert on the Mauser action, expert ballroom dancer and African hunting expert par excellence. Sadly, bad health made him take his own life.



If there were a source of information about him, it would definitely excite a lot of interest as would a compilation of his writing. Let us hope that some publisher, or a friend of his like Ross Seyfried or Craig Boddington does this as a tribute to this great man.

friends i read a lot of histories about jack lott he was a soldier,trainerand scout in the rhodesian war ,he was charged and injured by a buffalo,while using a 458winch,he wrote some good articles in soldier of fortune,about selous scouts ,ex selous irish wolfhounds as tracker dogs,etc he loved czbrnos guns he used in the war a cz75 pistol poderated by jeff cooper as well.please put al the information you have so we can larn more about this great hunter .juan .pd i have a friend who hunted tigers in india

I READ THAT THIS INCREDIBLE HUNTER CREATED AND TRAIN UNITS FORMED BY HUNTERS IN RHODESIA WAR I REMEMBER THAT WHEN I WAS IN THE ARMY A COMMANDO TOLD ME THAT THE SELOUS SCOUTS WERE FORMED BY HUNTERS LIKE ALLAN SAVORY AND OTHERS ONE OF THEN SEVERLY MAULED BY A CROC HE KILLED IT WITH HIS KNIFE SOME OF THIS MEN WERE FRIENDS OF JACKS LOTT AND HE PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING.THIS COMMANDO WAS TOLD THAT IN SOUTH AFRICA AND WAS SON OF A GREAT HUNTER WHO ALWAYS USE A458LOTT IN BUFALOS HERE.JUAN

I'd like to read more about Jack Lott also.

Sadly, for us, he was very private and as I understand it, even his friends didn't know a whole lot about his history.

From the little I've read, he lived a large life!
