Destination: Zimbabwe
When: September 1-12
Who: Tony & Paul
Why: Cape Buffalo x 2 plus sundry plains game

Here is the scenario and two questions:

600 Overkill and 585 AHR are definitely making the trip for the big bad buffs.
BOOM
My dad will bring his Rem 700Ti in 300 SAUM (also a present to him from me for his 65th - and damn, he is laser-accurate with it) for the plains game. beer

1. Should I bring my .416 Weatherby for PG and while my dad goes for his Buffalo? (Yes, I know there are many WBY-haters including some whom I count as friends Smiler moon

2. Should I bring my Merkel in 500NE and decide then which I will use for my Cape Buffalo. I guess if I don't bring it then, I will just have to go back to Africa again thumb

Let the party begin coffee

It's an easy choice - .600 Overkill and .416 Wby.

Ditto to the above...

I'm taking 600 OK and 416 Rigby in August...

Taking your 600 and 500 might be redundant…

Your scoped 416 would be more versatile if a longer shot presents itself...

Looks unanimous Paul ...The 600 and the 416 and I'll add that you should have some light, fast, & flat loads for the 416.
