Got to take the .375 model 70 out today and ran some rounds through it. Started out bore sighted and within 3 shots I was dead on 1" high at 100 yards. After tweaking a little - my final 4 shots were roughly 1.5" high at 100 - 3 were touching and a 4th about 1/2" to the right (operator error!). I was pretty pleased with the performance - and I don't claim to be the world's best rifle shot...thanks for all the advice while I was setting it up. I ended up with the Leo QR rings and a Nikon new Monarch 2.5x10 scope. I plan to shoot a couple hundred rounds through it before my trip in July, but for an initial test, I am well pleased. We'll see if everything holds up though the practice sessions... Good Hunting, Tim Herald Worldwide Trophy Adventures tim@trophyadventures.com

That's so common, I think that my 375 H&H was the easiest gun to develop loads for that I've ever tried. Guys, I Know this goes against what all you guys do - but I don't reload. Maybe I will get into it someday as I find it fascinating, but right now I travel too much to have time to do it too. I am using factory loads and they did pretty well. Win. Supreme 300 gr Nosler Part. - They should work well for PG and leopard. I am also trying to work out an add on to my trip with KarlS for one of his available lions. I think it will be pretty decent medicine for all...TH Good Hunting, Tim Herald Worldwide Trophy Adventures tim@trophyadventures.com

Gee, goes to show what you eventually learn about folks from this site - after all the good posts I thought you were one of us - Well, Live & Learn. There's hope yet - ask around discreetly amd you'll get connected. Then you start attending meetings, talk to other non-reloaders and form support groups. The Mantra starts like this (repeat after me).....My name is Tim and I know this goes against what all you Guys do but I haven't reloaded for xx days...... PS - You're now on my Ignore List - #1. Mine was. I had it out this morning, beginning the warm up sessions for Tanzania in July. Before I began reloading, I used the Rem 300gr. A Frame on a buff/PG hunt in the Selous. I got MOA or better out of that load and found it extremely effective on PG and a one-shotter on a buff.

I bought 4 boxes of old 300 grain Hornady Interlocks off of a guy for plinking ammo. I just threw together a starting load of 77 grains of IMR4350 and went to the range this morning. Here are the first 9 shots using this load. Is it any wonder that I love this gun? Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. You're probably a bit warm on 77 grains. I get 2550 out of the same bullet using the book max of 76.3. Just loaded up about 60 rounds this afternoon. My groups with that load are always MOA or slightly larger. I've put about 1500 rounds through it. Coppers up the bore a lot after about twenty rounds, though.

Hodgdon lists the max load for IMR4350 and a 300 grain bullet at 38 grains for 2620 fps Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally.
