x-manWhenever I have a custom rifle built I usually pick the cartridge that I would like.
Call me selfish, but I really don't give a $hit what anyone else thinks about my selection!
If it had nice wood and was going to by a 375 it would be a 375 Rigby....Then again it would be my rifle and I wouldn't even ask you guys!

I used to build my customs exactly as I wanted them without regard to practicality as to resale, even created my own wildcats.
As I have aged I have gained some practicality:
Known good caliber
Known excellent craftsman
Known optics
Never thought I would ever consider selling when I was younger, now I view all projects with not only the eye of the connoisseur but also the eye of the investor.
Build the .375 H&H, it's a classic.
Choose a builder of known gravity and admiration.
They enjoy the heck out of it.

I would bulid the .375 Ruger on any M98 action and not open up to the H&H. I would build the H&H on a full length action. Form follows Function.
