Have those hornady solids been used on any big game or dangerous game? I've got them on order.

I used the old Hornadys back when they were steel and they were wonderfull bullets. The encapsulated were not very good solids IMO..The new ones out today are basically the old bullets reincarnated I am told and thats a good thing...

That said, I only use GS Custom flat nose solids, today as they the only suitable solid on todays market IMO...but I still have a supply of the wonderful Northfork solids and best of all the Bridger flat nost solids, both of which are no longer in production. I also have a small supply of Northfork cup points, my all time favorite big bore bullet.

If you do a search in the African Big Game Hunting forum, you'll find some reports.
