It does take a bit of faith to keep appling the solution with what your gun looks like after the first go around. It does look great when completed. I am going to be doing a good deal of rust blueing in my last semester.
I have been slow rust bluing for a little over a year now. Dad and I are going to make a new damp box pretty soon. I dont always use one, but with some solutions its a must.

With due respect Jeffe, Ive seen past masters here doing rust blueing. They as a rule used several weeks for that work. Did you find a new method in order to accelerate the process?. Congratulations anyway

Jeffe, are you at the range this weekend? I need to sight in the 375 and try out some new loads. Saw you were going to be at Carter's last weekend, which was when my back spasm had me laid out. Not what you want on the bench. Let me know. Bob
