I only have the loads I used back in the early '70's. There have been new thoughts and powders since then. Anyone have any loads to suggest? Thanks

410gr Barnes in front of 80gr of H4895/AA2495 will generate a little over 2400fps of "git 'er dun...". Rich DRSS Knowledge not shared is knowledge lost...

73.5 of Varget with the Woodleighs got me 2248 fps from a 26" barrel. Fed 215M primers. I'm going to go to 74 gr. or so and call it a day....if it's as accurate as the 73.5 gr load...I'm in bidness. Gary DRSS NRA Lifer SCI DSC

I found that 80gr of H4895 was too hot and gave velocities above 2,450 fps with a sticky bolt. three weeks ago a chronographed (Oehler 35) the following loads: Bullet - Barnes original (410gr) Temp - 38 degrees F Altitude - 5,100 feet above Sea Level 73.5 gr Varget - 2,250 fps 74.5 gr Varget - 2,300 fps Accuracy? they all hit within 4" at 100 yards which is about the limit of my eyes with iron sights. Best of luck ... RW
