I have just one question. Is shootaway a cousin or other relative of Carmello???

I once had a 1949-vintage Win. Model 70 Super Grade in .375 H&H that developed a crack just behing the magazine box. The crack ran into the center of the grip area behind the tang. I repaired it with Accrglas bedding compound, and never had any additional problems. After the repair, the crack was not visible when the action was in the stock......
