Hi Guys:

More stuff I need for these fricken jumbo size cases. LOL

What plastic bullet holder cases are out there for the 470 NE.... either by Midway or MTM, please give me a number to go buy so I can order. Naturally the brass is not in boxes.

Also what size reloading block so I can put these wide flange bases on the 470 in a block when I am reloading.

It's like buying a whole new reloading system for the Nito Express cartridges...LOL

I bought the Frankford #9 Reloading tray and J&J Company Ammo Cases XL-20. I also had to buy a new Press, hand primer tool, trimmer, and 50 BMG chamfer tool.

Hi tradewinds:

Thanks for the info that is what I was looking for. I all ready bought the larger case trimmer, Press, Collets, shell holder, dies, and pilots. Yep my hand primer does not fit the jumbo flange, but I can put the primers in one at a time with the new Rochchucker Supreme press.

I had some large plastic 20 round cases for the RUMs, but nope they don't fit the 470 NE. All my reloading blocks are to small also. And when I went to use my champfer tool, yepper to small.

Anyway I have the first 8 rounds loaded up with two different charges of RL-15 and that damn dacron filler. I only put in 2.5 to 3 grains inside the case. We shall see.

Damn man, do you want us to wipe your butt for you too?

Use 4 to 5 grains of Dacron.

That bit of info is toilet paper for YOU!!! Wink

The commonly available MTM ammo boxes that hold 100 rounds of shotgun shells come with trays set up for 12g or 20g.

The 20 gauge trays come as 50 rounders that stack on top of each other 2 per box.

One of those 20 gauge trays makes an excellent loading block for 470 NE or 500 NE.

I use the 20-round slip-case for the 470 NE, MTM or whatever.

Forester CoAx Hand Primer Tool

I use this Hand Primer tool just for the 470 and nothing else. I also use 4831SC powder with no filler.

Hi Tradewinds:

Thanks again, that is a cool hand primer. I never knew Forster made them. I ordered the Frankford bullet tray and RCBS chamfer deburring tool from Midway. I ordered the plastic bullet cases direct from J&J.

H4831 is next on my list to try, I have to see what powder regulates the best with my DR and is shooting over 2100 FPS with the Woodleigh bullets.

Do you find the Hodgon SC better than the LC.... probably slightly faster burning rate?

I have not seen a lot of differance between LC or SC, SC is easier to measure. I am using 103 Gr. for just under 2100 FPS which is what I got from Factory Federal loads.

I just thought it easier that stuffing Dacron in all the loads.

I also use 37Gr. AA5744 with a 540 gr. Lead Bullet and it has the same POI as the full loads to 50 yds.

If you need plastic boxes for your extra cases and loaded ammo take a look at these. The are the simple slip top design with no hinge points to break and work very will with very large cases.

The MTM Case-Gard H50 XL size holds 50 loaded rounds, nose down. It has the big square holes, not round holes.

Here is the J&J slip case that holds twenty, loaded or empty brass:

This Berry Mfg. "112/416Mag" holds 20 cases but is not tall enough to handle loaded ammo:

The twenty-gauge tray from the 100-round MTM ammo box is is perfect as a loading block, 12-gauge is too sloppy:

A drill press and a block of wood works wonders..I use two 1x6 boards, drill holes in one and use the other for a base..or drill holes in a 2x4..whatever you have on hand.

I prime all calibers on my RCBS primer tool that takes any case holder. My press is the big RCBS A-2 single stage press.

I trim all double rifle cases with file trim dies as they are more accurate and that gives you a better crimp.
