Hey guys, anybody shot this ammo? Not really CHEAP, but for the 375 it is. was thinking about getting some for sighting in. Don't have the cash for a new press yet so can't reload for the damn thing.

How is this brass in comparison to the Federal? (I usually use Win. so have no idea what the others are like for reloading). The federal is about 6 bucks more but if the brass is better I could splurge since I'll eventually reload it.

Dago,

I haven't shot the 375 loads your looking at but my experiences with PMC is its the dirtiest ammo you can buy, you really need to look to find dirtier ammo.

I think they used dried up road apples for powder. I have a ton of the brass also in several calibers, definately lower quality than Federal brass which I have always had good experiences with.

I handload a lot of pistol ammo and even Unique powder is cleaner than using PMC ammo. Anytime I use PMC even a 1/2 box its a complete strip down and clean my firearms. I have maybe 1 box left, and the only reason its still around is I don't like it. I quit buying it a couple of years ago cause it was just so dirty, and won't be buying any more.

As far as accuracy goes its OK though, definately middle of the road and that is not my complaint with it.

For cheap factory 375's I have good luck with The Remington express stuff in the green box. In 3 different rifles it has been very accurate, burns clean. But the bullet isn't super tough I had one pretty well come apart on a large 8 point whitetail a few years ago. Shot him in the neck at about 90 yards bullet hit the neck at a 45 degree angle from the front. Never found a piece of it much bigger than a pea. In all fairness from the angle the bullet hit the neck it had to penetrate 5 or 6 inches of on spine. Other deer shot broadsided with it it has preformed well. complete penetration and a little expansion. (just what I like). You can get this stuff from cabela's or midway and the like for 25 to 30 bucks a box.
