Bullets are easy to come by.
Midwayusa, Woodleigh .408 bullets

Hawk Bullets

Be sure that you order the .408, because they do offer the .411 bullets.

The Hawks a softer and will require less powder to achieve the required velocity.
I would reccomend use use RL-15 and Dacron filler for your loads.

I'm not sure about brass. If you can find some BeLL by Mast around, buy em up.

Fred,
Until it turns up, you can get some 450 NE 3-1/4" brass and neck it down and trim it. That is of course the origin of the 450/400 NE 3-1/4". They have the same 0.040" "thin rim."

I just ordered some Horneber .450 NE 3-1/4" from Huntington's. They have that. It ain't cheap, something over $50 for 20 pieces, but it is Horneber, good as it gets. Surely there must be some Horneber .450/.400 NE 3-1/4" in the pipeline somewhere. bewildered

577,
I got it from a friend and he got it from a dealer so I really don't know much about it.
