Anyone have any pet loads for the 375 JDJ in an Emcore? Of particular interest would be loads using the 250 Sierra Gameking and 270gr Woodleigh SN.

Well had some good luck at the range this morning! Have found a good load for the 250gr Sierra. 48.5gr of R7 gave 5/8" groups at 100 yards with a MV of 2587 fps! If anyone has a 270gr Woodleigh load (or Hornady for that matter) and wouldn't mind sharing let me know.

I have a contender rifle in 375 JDJ.T he pressure is way less than the encore can handle.I use Speer 235 gr they are super accurate.I also like the hornady 270 sp.I go by the loads in the hornady book.I like Winchester 748 when you can find it.Reloader 7 is also a good powder for it.

Steves pages, http://stevespages.com/375_10_270.html, has some info.

Load from a Disk gives 51 gr Varget and the 270 Woodleigh for 2170fs, 40.4 KCUP at 3.00" COAL and 26" barrel. BLC-2, AA2230, Benchmark, AA2460, AA2520, AA2700, H380, 4064, 4320, RL-15 all are good powders starting around 48-50 gr and working up slow.

The case size puts it in the 375 Whelen, 375-06 range, ~70 gr H2O, so you could use the same load data starting low and working up.

I've have dies and reamer for several years but haven't gotten around to doing a barrel yet. I was going to do a barrel for SMLE 2A but ended up doing a 2.25" 458 American instead...I still might do a switch barrel for the SMLE.

It is an excellent cartridge, one of those "hidden" jewels that few know about. Definitely a world class shooter.
