I had some load data for using the CPB 525gr bullet in the 500 Linebaugh. But... I lost the data, and the name and email addy of the person I got them from. Any help?

It is unlikely that you will get anything here with the 500 Linebaugh question. Your best bet would to talk to Tim Sundles from BBA. I don't see the need to shoot that heavy of a bullet with this revolver. A 435 grain LBT at around 1350 fps would be more than enough for most people. Good luck. Ming

Thanks... I asked Tim some time ago but he didn't have any answers for me. Like I said, I had a few loads with a few powers, I'm just trying to recontact the person I got them from (who was shoting them himself) I'm aiming for some fn loads around 900fps, which he seemed to get quite easily.

Is this Cas from the sixgunner board? Someone at the Linebaugh seminar had a load with this bullet...can't remember who.

Did you try dropping Dennis an e-mail? I don't have his e-mail address handy, but he posts on the single shot board, and you ought to be able to pully it up.

To the question about why, well, I shoot a 460 gr out of my 480, so I can understand the appeal of the heavy bullets. I'd also imagine the 500 Linebaugh ought to be capable of driving that 525 1000 fps, if not a bit more.

Why... well I'm looking for a nice easy shoot'n fun load, with heavy bullets.
My normal "most of the time" load is 465gr swc @ 1250-1350 depending on the mood.

Whomever it was who was using them was getting 1000+fps or so without much trouble. I'm just looking for a big slow slap, 800-900fps.

Hi Cas

I think it was Dennis, HHI812.
Search singleaction45.com discussion, and he should be able to help.

Sorry guys, got some of them heavy bullets still sitting here, and haven't gotten to testing them yet? Also want a 800-900 load. Heaviest I've gone, was 470 grainers. Like Paul said, I would prefer a heavy slow bullet, and as soon as I get myself together, and "hopefully" things start to warm up some soon, I'd like to try some of them heavy bullets. I meant to get some loads from the fella who sent me the bullets, because he has tried a few in his 500, but just need to get around to it. My home computer's mouse died, so been out of it for several days. You guys please keep me posted too, when you come up with that mild load! Thanks! Dennis e-mail at dmadriaga@ascg.com
