Now that Winchester is closing its US plant, there will likely be no more model 70's in the big bores made EVER! Even if overseas Winchester/Browning makes some model 70's, unlikely to be in the big calibers, as these were always made in small batches. I got one from CDNN for $889 two weeks ago. Could be the real end of a great rifle.

FISH!!

They are disappering fast.

Called my FFL yesterday and he in turn called his dealer/distributor. He said a day or two ago they had a bunch of them, but now they have pulled them off the market and will most likely put them back up as available once they "re-price" them.

Just bought one NIB in 458 WM off GunBroker for $899.99

Don't really need it, but what the heck, I will buy into the frenzy.

Just because USRAC may be surrendering its license doesn't mean the Model 70 is going to disappear.

Someone else will come along and buy the license to manufacture it.

There are quite a few on gunbrokers and Sportsman's warehouse has them in stock for $980.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Huntr 30-06,

Congratulations from one Leftie and Model 70 L/H owner to another, you just purchased a very fine firearm IMO.

Couldn't be happier with mine, hope you have fun with yours!

Cheers,
