While my little rifle dosen't have the foot-pounds of energy many do on this fourm, it is a Little Beast! It began life as a Browning 1885 Traditional Hunter in 44 mag. Mark Pinkston at Kailua Custom did the 'smithing to convert it to 50AE(Mr Dick Nickle was doing the rebore when he passed away). I had the chamber cut so I can load the RCBS 360gr Fn to col of 1.7"(sammi col for the 50ae is around 1.3") I just got the rifle this week so load work-up has just started. At this point, I've reached 1900fps(22" barrel) with the 325gr Speer with no signs of pressure(1.5" 5 shot groups with tang peep @ 100yards). My goal is 2000 with the Speer and 1900 or so with the cast FN. Its big fun in a 6lb cresent steel butt plate low wall!

Congratulations! Sounds like a fine rifle with a nice custom touch. Keep us posted on your load development. Regards, ------------------ "Those who appease a tiger do so in the hope that the tiger will eat them last."
