I believe this can be made from 8x57 brass. Is anyone making factory brass or ammo at this time? I'm guessing not, but any info would be helpful. I just found a PME/Wisner Oberndorf style (Yeah!!!) bottom metal for the intermediate yugo mausers (3.27" inside length). Can't do anything with it for a long while, and will surely give myself an aneurism deciding what to do with it. Always wanted an Oberndorf type "M" style stutzen rifle in 9x57, but a 20" barrelled schnabel type carbine in 9.3x62, 9.3x57, or 9x57 is sounding pretty cool. Just looked through my edition of "Cartridges of the World", and found the 9.5x56MS / 375 rimless nitro express. This round looks pretty cool, and I think one could get some impressive performance with modern powders and bullets with moderate pressure. Can't really be any better than the 9.3x57, but it sounds fun. Thanks Matt FISH!! Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984: "Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

I make my brass from 30-06 cases, I just run them thru my sizing die which has a tapered expander, then trim to length. Just about as easy as it can be and as a bonus you can use just about any of the many .375 bullets, the 270 is the standard but I like the Speer 235. Best.
