Hey Folks! I was just cruzin' some links and came across African Hunter website. There is an article on the "new" .400 and .465 H & H cartridges. I have a P-14, (already Bubba'd), that I have wanted to do something with. Was talking on another site about just reaming it for a .303 "Win. Mag". These new H & H cart's look FINE! I'm thinking that the rim dia. is the same or close so there would not be much work involved. Anyone have anymore info? Thanks, LeRoy.

Well, Let me be the first to congratulate you on your very fine taste in cartridges, and most especially, seeing the need to promogulate H&H's desire that these two new offerings take firm hold in hunterland. If you do a search under either .400 H&H or .465 H&H, you will see the opinions are highly polarized. And that is being very polite. Personally, I think the .400 H&H would look best dressed up in a professionally modified m98 receiver sporting a bolt peep sight with quarter rib and two leaves folded. Should you choose to use a scope, a nice EAW side mount (all steel) would look perfect. The stripper clip slots should be left to aid loading, using custom made stripper clips. The front crest should be left unground, but nicely stippled for an elegant continental look. That long P-14 would be the best for the long .465, but it will do perfectly well for the .400 too, it is just your personal preference.

Nitroman, Thanks for the info! I will do a better search and take a longer look at the .465. Thanks again, LeRoy.
