HI, the pics of the lever is my win86,which was done by MR. Dave Clay in a 50-110. The stock was hand made as there is not a production sythetic stock for the win 86. Kev

Thanks for the pics Kev, nice looking rifle. Hand made stock/s I'm afraid to ask how much. Do you know what work was needed to convert it to 50-110 was it conv from 45/70. I ask as I've bought a 1886 extra light 45/70 in the USA and I'm in the process of getting it exported, the plan is to get it converet to 50-110 but my smith doesn't normally work on leverguns. I ended up buying the gun in the USA as I've been looking here in Aust for 12months and been inable to find a 1886 or m71. Sorry if I already asked you this Q but I have been getting different stories from different people and as you actually have one you would know.

Pretty nice set up there, Kev. What kind of loads are you feeding it? Folks in the Lever Action forum would probably be interested in seeing these pics as well.

If you want a 50-110 I would look at Dave Clay,he does great work. The win86 or 71 are the levers for the 50-110 as there action is longer than the Marlins,in fact the win86 was at one time made in a 50-110 black powder.I had a badger barrel place on. I have been shooting 525 grain WFN bullets at around 2200fps, the barrel is 22.5 long.I am going to try a 550grain and 570 grain down the road I think I will have no problem of getting around 2100 fps, must have muzzle brake, the recoil is hard to say the least. The price on this was high but I thought for a one time project why not.Kev
