3rd Annual AR Big Bore Shoot
If there is any interest, I’d like to hold another big bore/fun shoot for AR members at our place about 40 miles south of Dallas. It would be a fun shoot, some reactive targets, shoot off of sticks (yours or mine), just a half day of hanging out and shooting. The date would be April 19 and I’ll give more info as the date approaches as well as directions to anyone interested. Bring what you’d like to shoot!

Our shoot is a week from today, to those of you that are planning on participating, if you’ll PM ill give “accurate” driving directions, (not hard to get to but some map programs will send you to a dead end). Some returning shooters know how to get here, but I still would like to get a fairly accurate count…for drinks, donuts, targets, etc.. All AR members are welcome.

Though the weather forecast wasn’t the greatest, and a couple of guys didn’t want to chance it (don’t blame them one bit), the shoot went off very well. Only had five shooters but I think there were 17 guns present. I think everyone got to shoot nearly all of them and got plenty of shooting in. Lots of 2 liter dyed water filled bottles got exploded, paper targets got punched and a simple turning Buffalo target I built got shot plenty of times. Shooter only had about 3-4 seconds to shoot first shot and everyone hit a 6” orange dot on the forehead at least once every time (30 yards). Overall, it was fun and I’ll do it again next year with more and different target opportunities. I’ll see if I can post a couple of photos and short clips later today.
