I would tend to sell them both and buy a Searcy for $9500 and pocket the cash...but of the two I like the feel of the Merkel the best, albeit I don't like the quality of the Merkel...The Kreghoff feels like a 2x4 to me, its just stocked wrong and I hate the safty..but that's just my personal opinnion, nothing more.

I have to agree with Ray on this one! Though I have a Merkel, and though it isn't a 470NE, I love the rifle. But.... If I were buying a "NEW" double rifle in a chambering like the 470NE, it would be a B.Searcy PH Grade. They are made to fit, and I have never seen one that was not as accurate as any double rifle, regardless of price. The one thing I would do, however, is have "MINE" chambered for 450/400 3",or secondly the 500/416K, the former being my first choice, rather than 470NE, but that is a personal choice. B. Searcy is the only double rifle, made today, that is available chambered for the 450/400 3" , and $9500 for a brand new double rifle, made to fit you, with ejectors, and wood that is usually top drawer, to me is a bargain. If anything happens to the rifle Butch is a phone call away!
