Getting ready for Alaska - 250 grain hornady ammo comes in next week. Alaska in 4 weeks.

Biebs bring the ruger not the blaser. You do see the orange background - just to give you a little fanta fix.

The bolt is on the wrong side, but otherwise fine rifle!

Good luck on your Hunt. Where are you headed?

Wow, nice! Mine are the Hogue-stocked models, in 375 and 416 Ruger, but they're still unopened in the original boxes :-(

Tanks

375 Ruger

Rifle is Ruger Alaskan - I think it is the older discontinued model.

Great rifle ...

Me, I have seen common springbok, black springbok, white springbok and even copper springbok, but this is the first time I see an orange one Wink.

Whether dyed or dead, a good looking gun on a fun looking skin !

Mike, I have two of these rifles in left hand configuration and converted one into 416 Ruger caliber. Lovely rifles, balanced, rugged, nice weight and both are extremely accurate 375 with 270g TSX and 416 with 350g TSX. I personally put in another cross bolt in both stocks along with bedding the action. Ruger's new guide rifles have two cross bolts plus the thickness of grip is greater on the laminate stock. This added strengthening of the stock was most likely due to some issues with previous standard laminate stocks they use on their left-handed versions for non magnum calibers. I do recommend bedding the action as a precaution, Four years ago I split one of these laminate stocks on my 30-06.

Will see how the gun holds up in Alaska. Taking it to the range next week to sight it in and shoot it a bit.

I like that this whole set up costs under $1150 bucks with gunsmithing to set the scope up.

Perhaps more properly "dried Springbok", or "tanned Springbok".

Regardless, both rifle and Springbok hide nice...

It's is dyed.

I have never hunted or killed a springbok

This was a gift from a former colleagues wife - they are from South Africa and she is an Artist.

I don't know if she did it or bought it - but it is as orange as a hunters safety vest.
