Valmet Accuracy - 9.3x74R Login/Join

Awhile back Mike D posted a question about Valmet accuracy with the O/U 9.3x74R. Today I got mine regulated. It took 20rds of Norma 286gr and about 1 1/2 hrs. It shoots honest 4 shot groups of 1 1/2". The upper barrel shoots to 1/2" as does the lower. Needless to say I'm pleased. The recoil with the Norma is less than the S&B I used last time I got this piece out. It's also more accurate and consistant.
It made my day!

Dr. Duc,
Are those groups shot using a scope or iron sights?

Have you tried the RWS ammo?

Groups are scope only. My eyes passed the iron sight point in 1993.
I did try RWS but that was before the barrels were regulated and I shot up the only 20 I had trying to figure out where everything was going. They grouped well from individual barrels but things were going everywhich way then. S&B was the only other ammo I could get with regularity in 1998 but it seems to be more available now. When Sportsmans Guide has metric calibers you know either somebody was selling cheap or they are getting more popular. Natchez Shooters Supply has Norma now too but only the 232gr stuff.
