Sidney HiscoxHomemade massive 1.70 Big Bore
Was bored the other day so i decided to build myself a Big Bore out of whatever i could find!
Check out the video and description on my blog:
1.70 Homemade RifleCheck it out please!
Needs some improvements as the barrel is a bit too big for the explosive round and i am going to try and get a bigger bullet.

RIPThe eccentric popsicle sticks on the tail of your RPG is sapping accuracy and power!
Try some fin-spin-and-balanced-tail to minimize the corkscrewing.
Might be better at bombardment or mortar than for benchrest competition.

Sidney Hiscoxwith the tail i had a dilemma. do i make it longer and increase the chance of fire going in my face or do i make it shorter and reduce accuracy.

The fire work needs a bit of drag to get the center of pressure right, otherwise it won't fly right. Removing the stick changes the center of pressure at puts it ahead of the CG. You'll have to add something to put the CoP rearwards to stabilize the rocket. Military munitions usually use folding fins to accomplish it.
The other option would be to impart a rotation to the rocket. I am not sure what rpm you would need, but I would start with 1 in 24 and work from there.
Good luck

fourboreWould or should this be considered a recoiless(sp) rifle. And would the correct design leave the rear of the bbl open and be fired like the stinger off the shoulder
