I have checked with Midway, Grafs and Huntingtons and all are out (Grafs does not carry) 535 grain Woodleigh bullets for the .500 Jeffery. Any other good reloading supply houses to check?

Mike:

If you are in a bind and need them for a hunt, I have some round nose and protected points that I could get to you to get you buy.

Mike,

Softs (round nose or protected point) for buffalo and solids for elephant. I have heard good things about Park Reloading Supply -- I keep waiting for them to run specials on all the Wiebe rifles they keep in stock. So far, no luck.

Dave,

Thanks. Let me see what I can drum up in the next couple of days. I need them for a trip in October. Huntingtons said delivery was six to eight weeks. Eeker Need some time to play with loads before I go. I will check in with you in couple of days. Thanks again for the generous offer.

Mike, I checked and I have some solids as well but it is not a full box. If you get in a bind, let me know. I can hook you up with some. I am not going anywhere and I have some other stuff to shoot until the Woodleighs get back in. If you are interested, I think I also have some 535 grain Barnes banded solids as well but I think those are pretty easy to get at Midway.

Midway does have the Barnes. How do they feed in your rifle?

Mike, can't tell you. I just haven't had a chance to load any although they look like they would shoot clean through and elephant. I have been fooling around with a .500/.416 and a .450 Dakota. It's this stinking job that keeps interfering with my shooting Wink

I have a few PSP I could sell in case of an emergency. I also have some Barnes 570 TSX I would be happy to be rid of. The Barnes bullets foul like hell in both 500's!!
