doccash, I'm a great fan of the .416Rigby, but I'm not sure MRC's long action can accomendate the big Rigby case due to it's larger diameter and certainly the mag well would be limited to only two carts. Has anyone built a .416Rigby on a Winchester model 70? Would be a similar build to the MRC. Just seems iffy to me. Rodney.

Fjold, once you decide on one of these to complete your battery (you probably already have since this thread is pretty old now), you will probably start thinking about a big 50, also actually a practical caliber. The main choices are 500Jeff, 505Gibbs, 500A2 and 500AR. IMO, the 500A2 is the most practical and versatile, from cast lead to pulled 647 grain BMG bullets. Easily built on a CZ550 or one of the other magnum Mausers. Or if you like the Ruger #1, the 500 Nitro is a relatively easy and inexpensive conversion. My Battery is 338 RUM, 375 H&H, Rem 416, and the CZ 458 Lott. These are my Big Bores.
