I'm looking for a new stock for a CZ550 in .375 H&H. I would like to have a decent, serviceable stock in walnut but not too expensive. I just don't like to CZ stock. Does anyone know of a good source. Thanks for your input.

Unless you can shape your own stock, most custom walnut stocks are very pricey. You can always get a stock blank at a reasonable price but the labor to make one that fits your rifle perfectly will cost you quite a bit. I suggest that you check out the McMillan fiber glass Express stock for your CZ 550. Their stocks are strong and they don't even need a secondary recoil lug. Here are a few stock sources to check out. http://www.claudegatewood.com/ http://www.acrabondlaminates.com/ Cheers! Ming

I found a CZ 550 Magnum in 300 Winchester that had truly gorgeous wood, ![]() ![]() It was really shocking to find some nice wood in the hogback configuration. I truly like the CZ 550 hogback/"Euro" stock for iron sights. The McMillan and Armtec (looks like a B&C from RSA) stocks are what I have to choose from for scope use. But I do love the hogback for irons. Just sign me RedneckRAB.
