I have a couple of boxes of the blue 570gr X bullets that I want to load for my 500 Jeffery. However, load data is like hen's teeth... I have the Hornebear (sp?) cases, Fed 215 primers and can get any powders available in the US. Can anyone provide loading data to help me out? Also, I was reading the book on shooting the British double rifle and noticed that in England you can submit loads to a proof house and they will pressure test them for you (for a price I'm sure)...is there a similar service available stateside? P.S. "Location" soon to be Lolo, MT...oh, yeah!

Thanks for the help. I already checked out the reloading page, it only has one load for the X bullet. I'm hoping to get more input before I start experimenting.

Gringo, I have some 570 X's for my 500 Jeffrey, but I haven't had a chance to work up loads for them yet. I have used Varget and RL 15 with 535 and 600 gr cast bullets, and start at 100 gr and work up. My plan with the X's is to start with 100 gr and work up, with a planned max load of 2400 fps, but I'll take whatever load is most accurate between 2200 and 2400. The only printed load data I know of is from the A-square manual. __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.
