The right side is the correct side for the three position safety, which I believe is the fastest and safest for a right hand shooter. The swing safety mounted on the bolt is the one that frustrates me and has to be slower that that the M70 right mounted safety.
Last August I was hunting and had several occasions to bring my rifle to my shoulder ready to fire. There was no warning here. When I analyse the motion form shoulder rest or waist position, the safety was moved forward before the rifle hit my shoulder. So what's the problem???
