I just got Midway's latest catalog and saw they offered Bell brass in 458 ott, new, unprimed for $28.49/20

Product # is 472-983, vcode is 6V254L9.

This may have been posted somewhere else, if so sorry. I just thought it was significant, especially seeing as how I've turned Longbob into a reloading monster

unless you need the head stamp get some hornady basic belted. So far I have run 50 through my sizing die and untrimed lenght are 2.88-2.9 +,- .001/.002 which gives alittle more case lenght

RNS,

That is a good idea. I have a few once fired Lott rounds that have loose primer pockets. I wonder what causes that?

500grains,

Is that HDS brass headstamped? The ones that I have are not, but I didn't get them from Huntingtons. If they are, that is a pretty good price. I would assume that the quality is about the same as the Bell brass. Do you know?

RNS, Where do you get Hornady basic belted brass? I have used 375 cylindrical, but the cost difference between it and headstamped brass from huntingtons is so small, that its not worth fooling with.

Longbob,

I don't know if the lott brass is headstamped, but the 470 capstick brass they sent me is, so I would assume the lott is as well. Could give them a call and see.
