Mine seems a little, well stiff (not too bad though), just wondered if there is anything easy to be done to drop it down to 3lbs or so.

The trigger on my #1-V .25-06 needed stoning of the contact surfaces.

Check in the 'Gunsmithing' forum for possible solutions.

thanks... I acutally talked with a #1 enthusiast at Simmons Gun Repair in KC (they've done a bunch of model 12 work for us)... he said its either leave it or go with an excellent aftermarket piece... working the original wasn't worth the time.

he has several #1s of his own... and I am inclined to believe him (they are doing some work on the mauser(s) next month).
