HI,

I am going to buy some Northfork 416 370 grain bullets. I hope I will be able to start reloading in two mounths or so,I know it is killing me. I have no room where I am now and will have to wait until I can get onto my land.Anyway the big problem I have with NF is since there is no BC how does one know where to hold for longer shots? If one sights in 2 inchs high at 100 yards with a NF at 2650 or 2700 where do they drop at 200,300 yards?,Kev

Kev,

You can load some up and try them at the range.

Or you can estimate the trajectory by comparing to the published ballistics for the .416 Rem with 350 grain and 400 grain bullets. Your results should at least be comparable.

Then again you mostly use these .400s from zero to about 175 yards, and just hold point blank.

Where are you going to hunt where you get those sorts of ranges?
