Anyone know how much a stock (off-the-shelf) CZ 550 Safari Magnum in 458 Lott weighs without scope, sling, etc?

Thanks,

Chuck

My .375 tipped the scales at 10 pounds exactly, but there's more metal in the barrel as it is the same profile but smaller hole in the middle. You'll also get some variation due to the wood.

My 375 H&H weighs 10.25 lbs without scope (but it has a mercury recoil reducer in the stock). It already has the extra recoil lug, glass bedding and dual crossbolts. I'm thinking of having it rebored to 470 Capstick so wanted to have an idea what it would weigh. Clearwater will have to cut the barrel down to 22" or 23" so I figure I'll lose about 1/2 to 3/4 lb. That will put me right where you guys are with your 458 Lotts.

Thanks again,

Chuck
