I noticed they offer .423 bullets in 350 grains for the 10,75x68 and for the 404 jeffrey separated. Why they advertise them separately if they are both of the same caliber? Thanks L | ||

Woodleigh takes great pride in making bullets true to original shapes with jacket thickness designed for certain velocities. I'm sure that is why. I have a box of them here and they are not marked for the .404 or the 10.75X68. Also because the placement of the cannelure is different so the OAL will be correct for each cartridge type. | |||

thats a fact, but I shoot the 423. 400 gr. bullets made for the 404 Jefferys in my 10.74x68 as opposed to the 350 bullets, the bullets are a bit tougher and have considerably better penitration in my expansion box and they expand just fine...... the mates in Aussie land prefer the 404 400gr. bullets for their 10.75x68s according to Hatari Times...This intised me to try them, and darn glad I did...A 400 gr. 10.75x68 at 2120 FPS is a good enough buffalo load in soft or solid persuasion IMO...I also like a Bridger 350 gr. Monolithic flat nose solid at 2300 FPS and that bullet is the same length as the 400 gr. Woodliegh..It has more than enough penitration... My only problem is I have ended up with to many .423 cal. rifles, two 404s and a a 10.75x68... Strangely enough both rated for the same velocity. I think that the place of the cannelure will make the difference. They do have a cannelure.....? Also I have seen some dany bullets in softs and solids in silver colour, what brand are they?? L | |||
