hairbolAnyone use the NECG peep sight on a Ruger RSM?
Curious how you like the sight? Is there any noticeable accuracy advantage over shorter sight distance V type rear sights? Did you need to remove the factory rear sight?
Did you have to change the front blade to another height?

510wellsYes, I do. It works well for me. Comes up and on target faster for me. I'm a bit "older" (65) and got to the point where I couldn't see the rear site, don't have that problem with the peep rear
Yes I removed the factory rear so I could see more of the target. I replaced the front bead with the same height but the larger bead as I had problems "finding" the (small) stock one when trying to aquire a target quickly. The NECG had enough elvation adjusment on my gun to keep the same height front.
I get about the same accuracy at 75 - 100 yards as I do with a Leupold Veri-X III 1.5-5 (at 1.5) but the scope works better at 200 (the longest distance I've tried). I've got the Leupold in Warne QD rings and it comes back to zero with no problem on re-mount. Or at least as close as I can shoot full power 458 Lott loads off a tripod.

jeffeossowe've used them on the rsm, #i and m77mkII..
the sight works great.
externally the sight has SHARP corners, which I tend to file and round down.
ON THE RUGER MODEL
the rear apeture locks the vertical, so be certain to tighten/untighten with adjusting, and in the final setting, lock it down well

Hog KillerUse the largest one, more light for shooting in poorer lighting conditions. Small peeps, are target peeps.
