I need to get a new front bead on my Whitworth, as POI is 3" high at 50 yards. The current bead is 3/32 brass, and I need something brighter for my 50+ eyes. Williams has a white bead and a fiber optic red that fit the ramp. Irons are back up to a Leuppy 1x4, but I enjoy shooting irons at the range and want to have it set up to shoot 300's no more than 1" high at 50.

What's the verdict among you big bore shooters, red or white? Thanks, Bob

White. I'd rather have a sister working a cat house than fiber optics on a gun. Mad Look for a bead of warthog tusk, it won't yellow like ivory.

If yuro'e corseseyd and dsyelixc can you siltl raed oaky?

I like a 3/32 white bead, white plastic is as good as Ivory IMO...wart hog is good also..

I am trying a fiber optic bead on my new .416 to see if I like it...it seems to really show up well and for about $20,00 it's worth a try, but I'm not prone to anything new..Its a curmudgeion thing you see! sofa

The NECG fiber optic bead is the brightest I have tried.

I use it with a shallow "V" rear with a gold inlaid center line, and sight acquisition and line up are very fast for an open, express sight system.
