| I never shot one but they seem to handle nice. My only issue is the limited choice of calibers. I would prefer a gun like this in 375 H&H. It would also seems a good gun for those who like the 338 win. I need another 375 caliber like a 2nd a-hole. it might even make an interesting 458 win mag with a 400 gr bear load. I am not a big 458 fan, but would prefer that to another pair of 375 and 416 clones. The purpose of this gun seems to be to too promote Rugers new calibers. I am 6 foot and sometimes have problems with off the shelf work gloves being a tad small. FWIW. |

| Jimmy P,
I have the 375 ruger Alaskan with the houge stock. The rifle comes up quickly and balances well. I do not wish I had the 23 inch barrel.
Think you would have no problems with that set up. Rifle is very accurate and a lot of fun to shoot.
Good luck. |

| I am with kreten on the feel and handling. I am about the same size as you so you should find the stock and bbl length just about right. I have both the 375 and the 416. Can't be beat for the cash outlay. A proper sized laminate stock might be nice too if you like wood better. Let us know how you fare out. |

| Ayn, I have a factory Ruger laminate stock for a 77 Mark II long action magnum action that I am about to list in the classified section. It is like-new, nutmeg, and has the factory LOP/black Ruger pad, sling studs, no checkering and never been bedded or modified. PM me if you are interested. I am also in Georgia.
