Anyone who went to SCI hear any news from H&H on their new .400 & .465 cartriges? 602

They are making rifles in those calibers whenever customers order them. However, the new calibers are definitely not taking the world by storm. Perhaps they will gain momentum over time, but that seems unlikely as the field of dangerous game cartridges is already very crowded.

lol, I ran across a recent comment, I'll quote, "what I really need are more hunts, not more guns". I suspect the sentiment is the same for "more cartridges". ;> I think you've confirmed my suspicions. thanks for the reply. regards, 602

Clarification: My suspicions are that the cartridges aren’t catching on. 602

I usually check in with Holland at the SCI Show on the .400 & .465 H&H status, but I passed on the show this year. I will shoot them an email, and post if there is any news. jim if you're too busy to hunt, you're too busy.

Thanks HunterJim, I first read about them several years ago, but not much since. 500grains comment about the DG Cartridge field being very crowded summed things up pretty well I think. I’m gonna rebarrel in Lott and go have sum fun. Regards, 602

One bolt rifle in .400 H&H and another in .465 H&H were on display at the H&H booth, but neither of them was for sale. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.
