Good luck.

Those AP cores are hardened, which is what makes them AP. Pointy as hell, too.

DHA - You're wasting your time. The bullet will still not expand if your ammo is really military AP. You'll get the same size hole as before. But if you're determined, I would wrap the cartridge in a cold wet rag and use a chop saw.
If it gets hot enough to ignite the powder, your left arm will be considerably shorter than your right when the smoke clears.

Hey Gone, thanks for reply, it was pretty much what I expected, but just thought of trying my cable cutters. they might whack a bit off.

Plus, I really need to get a life, I was already to tie two cans of elephant fg together, tape on three boxes of primers to front can to make sure of ignition, and attach to back end undercarriage of the Yugo, what do you think will happen, just wreck it or provide some lft? Unfortunately damn tx weather, got to dry before I could proceed. The gas tank is empty, but I am sure there be fumes aplenty in there, Maybe shoulld wait til night anyway.
Another thought, old fireextinguisher bottle, fill with bp, seel end with one of those wax fuses that burn in water, and set adrift in me tank. OK, it's aftr 5, and exept for a few short naps sitting here at pc, havn't gotten to sleep yet, enough of this, goodnite.
rob always gotta thinnk of future mayhem
please see my handle. Was gonna hit with a w 22, hence the primerboxes, really wanted to make sure of ignition. It is my understanding a good sharrp impact could set it off, but I figure the primers will ensure. That brings up another experiment, hang a box on a string and then just pop the sucker with large calbre riffle, is it goiing to go off? Hell, evenif I already knew what would happen, it would still be fun to do.
rob the guy who just woke up so anyincoheerencies can be blamed on stup-eh-i mean, lack of sleep
