I am considering a new bolt cannon.Will the Granite Mountain Action work with the .700NE?

Kid-- Only if the bolt bolt is big enough
diameter as the rim is same(.880) as 12ga
rim. You could put one in a worked over
Savage like I did with 12ga FH. Ferlach makes
one big enough. Better power is my 700HE
and we are trying to get MRC to make
a few changes to fit it better in their
PH action.Ed

Thanks Ed....keep me posted as I would consider a "practical" size action so I can keep the weight down as I carry them alot more than I shoot them!MRC?I am not familiar with them...any pics of yours? Thanks!

The GMA has a 0.750" bolt and the fictional MRC PH has a 0.800" bolt (in the fable, at least).

I thought wff hein was considering a bolt action with a .800+ bolt face at one time. Might be worth checking out.
