If they used wood even 1/2 as nice as that on the production guns I would give them a try. These are not el cheapo guns. Another member of AR put it very well, when he said they look like they used a "chocolate bar" to finish the wood stocks. Yuk! Or should I say yummy?

Kuikka, what exactly is the new big bore product of interest?

450 Rigby and 500 Jeffery coming from the Sako factory....wow, that is a huge leap from their previous big bore offerings

We still have to see what calibers the gatekeepers at Beretta deem worthy for the thick Yanks.

It is indeed nice stuff, but I remember a couple of other of the Anniversary rifles built by Sako. The cost of these was really up there and these will be too with only 90 of them being built up. I will probably have to soldier on with my AV's .

Generalwar, where did you find the Sako Safari?

I tried Euro Optics (Alex) and it seems that there is none available in US... yet.
