I hadn't seen this discussed but just read in Guns Mag that in addition to the 9.3x74, Ruger was going to chamber the No. 1 in 450/400 3", the article said Hornady was loading new ammo in softs and solids to match the older loads and they should regulate in older doubles. .411" bullets at 2100 fps. I saw on another post that the Hornady bullets were to be 400 grains and .410" in diameter. The velocity of factory ammo was to be 2080 fps. Makes me happy as hopefully I can use the 400s in the .405 Winchester at 1900-2000 fps. Also makes sence that Ruger would bore the 450/400 at .411 since the .405 is so bored and there is such a wide varience in bore dimaeter os 450/400s anyway. Bob | |||

Jeff, I know a guy in Houston Texas who has in his possession 20 rounds each of NIB Hornady made, 450/400 3 inch and 9.3X74R brass. As it is told to me, the quality of the brass is great.
