Scott,

Ya did good!

Nice performance and (what I think is) a great chambering.

Hey thanks guys!

The fellows on that .416 Rigby thread don't seem to agree but I like it. I haven't killed anything with the .375 Wby yet but I am damn impressed with its performance at the range, it seems to offer a real improvement over the H&H and is damned accurate, sort of like the .300 Wby Mag over the .300 H&H or .300 Win Mag.

I REALLY like this rifle.

One of my very favorite calibers. tu2 Getting a great deal on a good rifle and modifying it to suit your needs is what it's all about. Now it only needs to be used for its purpose.
Excellent work! beer

Great cartridge. I have one in a modified Mod 70 stainless. Love mine!

Leon Kachelhoffer who is a PH working for Luke Samaris has one. I would ream out my M70 but can't justify altering a Pre-64. Sounds like you have a good rifle tho.

Awesome score on the rifle, I've never owned one in 375 bee, but am impressed with the ballistics of it.

Super move!!

I did the same thing with an A-Bolt Stainless Stalker. You did better with the CRF. But mine will never see the other side of the pond, so big deal. I bought it so right, I felt guilty (not too much). I've got about $100 less in mine than you do yours. The thing shoots like a house on fire and hits critters like a sledge. Makes a heckuva 300 yard groundhog gun, too!!!

Try some 250gr. Sierras for N.A. game and paper/steel. I load 92.0 gr. of H-414 under them and actually use a Federal 210M primer to the tune of 3060 fps. Very tight grouping load.

Yep...Scotch, I use the same load in mine and the last six, three shot groups were all under an inch shooting TSXs.

Mine is a Model 70 with a PacNor barrel and I plan to take it to Tanz this fall and show it some buffalo.

It'll do.

I suspect the Weatherby doesn't have any more effect on game than the Holland, except allowing a hit at longer range. Therefore I would take one to Alaska (again) but probably not to Africa.

If you stoke it with 350 grain bullets, that is where it really has the advantage on the .375 H&H for something like buffalo. The Weatherby version can still get some speed with the heavier bullet, making it a good choice for Africa as well.

Interesting caliber. Cool If I come across Sauer-Weatherby in this caliber I might add another dust collector to what I already own. Wink

I have a custom Brno 602 in the Weatherby. Nice cartridge that is starting to see a resurgence.
