No reason new ideas that really work can't go from the range to the hunt.
Solves the comb height issue going from a scope to irons.
Would like to shoot it and see how it feels with a high recoil
I found the stock at Kelbys for $790, http://www.kelbly.com/grs-stoc...ng-stocks/grs-safari

Real cool looking stock !

Kinda like a thumbhole with the top cut out and a straight grip .

I like the red as well .

Back in my target shooting days I noticed that it was easier and faster to work the bolt with a traditional curved grip profile. The vertical grips placed my hand too far away for smooth and rapid use. I suspect the customer might have some experience in European (ISU) slow-fire target shooting. What works for me might not work for someone else!

I agree. I prefer the appearance of the straight Oberndorf style but think the curved (FN, Mark X) functions better.

Actually this is how they build stocks. They have several models and are built for ergonomical features not for style.

Reminds me of the stocks made by Harry Lawson. I have a thumbhole that copies that design and it is the most comfortable stock I have ever felt.

I am going to order one for my Sauer 202. Perhaps not in red.

This is what I did most of my High Power competition with:

It doesn't look like much, but it fit me perfectly and was like lightning in the rapid fire stages, mated with a pre-War Winchester Model 70.

It was actually designed for irons as their Safari stock.

I was suprised to learn that they are very common replacement stocks for Huskvarna 9.3x57 rifles in Scandanavia.
