I saw it mentioned in another thread. I did some searching for it and it's listed on one website without any info on parent cartridge, load, etc.

From what I have heard it is based on the .50 BMG cartridge opened up to accept a .700 caliber bullet.
Don't know if it is true or what.....

LongDistanceOperator,

I have found this cartridge on the web, after that I have put all details that I knew on few replies in this forum. I have sent an e-mail to the contact person of this website in order to have more details on it. Up to now no reply. I have also put in all my e-mail "I don't know if it is a joke or not".

See link below and try with e-mail address in this website to have more details

I can't do more for you.

Rune,

This seems possible to do.

I believe that's what JD Jones' 700JDJ is.

DanD, from what I heard the 700 Juggernaut uses the full length BMG case. Isn't the 700 JDJ much shorter?

Yes, the 700JDJ uses shortened BMG case, but I wouldn't want to be the one shooting with a full length BMG cartridge.

Wow. Where will it all stop? I guess the next.....***ahem*** logical step is a Russian case; the 12.7x108.....or maybe the 14.5x114........but then again, the 20mm Vulcan case is really cheap and easy to find.

DanD, that may be the reason we don't see any of them floating around:-)

LongDistanceOperator,

The ultimate cartridge'l be 20x125mm Japanese ATR. I think you'll have enough recoil energy....40662 Muzzle Energy, foot-pounds

Nice isn't it?????
