... call or write to Ty.

(I still think "big" bores start at .400"... but what the Hell, I figured I'd post this here anyway.)

Maybe it's like camera film formats, big keeps shrinking. I wouldn't call .375 a big bore, but I'm old fashinoned.

Well, not that it's what you meant, but the picture in my signature isn't a picture of me -- but the guy's just like me, so that's why it's there.

To answer your questions, it's a Barrett M82A1 and yes, it's chambered for .50 BMG.

Actually, if you are old fashioned, you would start big bore at .600, as a 577 BPE was a medium.... 110 years ago,....

these are the days when an 8 bore was a light heavy...

btw, soley by bore a 444 marlin is a big bore, while a 378 weatherby isn't...

Well, actually, I think the picture is from the new series that's going to be coming out on the Sci-Fi channel. Normally, I can't stand commercial television (the commercials drive me nuts), so I stick to the movie channels, the history channels, CNN, things like that... but I'll make an exception in this case. I own the first and third "Tremors" but haven't found "II" yet (for sale). It's just a matter of time. The guy is so "me" -- a real firepower junkie. He always has the nicest firearms. Must be nice to have a Hollyweird budget.

Wussil,
I can see how you’d compare yourself to a washed up actor who can only get parts in B-grade, straight to video movies and crappy sci-fi TV series that probably won’t last 13 episodes.

Brian.

PS- The first Tremors movie was excellent. The second was pretty stupid, though the double rifles made it more enjoyable. The third one was just plain dumb.
